Press Release: Cost-saving and risk-free access to the ERP world

Vienna, November 6th, 2007 –Former SAP managers found the time was ready to set up a new company, the KINAMU Business Solutions AG, in order to put a pioneering concept into effect: to provide midsized companies with ERP solutions that do not require any initial investment but are easily and quickly to implement, without causing any risk on the customer’s side and are being delivered at a low, easy-to-calculate monthly price without requiring specific internal knowledge.  The new approach is to offer a solution that is based on the most successful and highly developed ERP product, which is SAP, and to provide a complete package of hardware, software, implementation, system administration, end user support and training at a fixed monthly fee per user.

Midsized companies have long attracted the attention of ERP solution providers. Those in favour of a tried-and-tested product like SAP were confronted with substantial initial investments, an average implementation period of 6 months and more and with the necessity of specially trained internal SAP experts. The benefits of ERP programs are widely acknowledged and considered as an essential factor for a successful and efficient business operation. Due to the above mentioned criteria many midsized companies have either chosen suboptimal alternative solutions with all its inadequacies or have refrained from introducing ERP systems altogether. This is why Christian Knoll, Alexander Simon, Michael Hubl and Marcus Riedler began to search for the optimal solution.  At the beginning of 2007 they founded the KINAMU Business Solutions AG to promote the adoption of “best-in-class business solutions in the SME segment. By so doing, they want to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs and make their business IT fit for the global market.

The new KINAMU model which, however, is no leasing model allows keeping initial investments comfortably low unlike usual SAP implementation. Thus investment requirements are clear and affordable for midsized businesses. The KINAMU solution at fixed costs per user and month enables thorough planning and can easily be adjusted to the needs of a growing enterprise. KINAMU is able to shorten the usual implementation period of 6 months to only 4 to 6 weeks. The overall service package includes hardware, necessary software licenses as well as maintenance fees, customization processes, continuous support and administration of the system.

“By entering into a partnership with KINAMU Business Solutions AG and thus promoting a new distribution model SAP will be able to strengthen its focus on midsized businesses,” says Robert Leitner, responsible for partner management at SAP. “The customers will benefit from the profound SAP know-how of the KINAMU staff and may thus be able to enter into the SAP world without any risk and at fixed prices,” says Leitner further. SAP Austria cooperates with about 100 partners in various fields such as the distribution of solutions for medium sized businesses (SAP Channel Partner), SAP consulting (Service Partner) and external operation of SAP solutions (Hosting).
