History

The KINAMU Business Solutions AG was founded as an SAP spin-off company by Christian Knoll, Alexander Simon, Michael Hubl and Marcus Riedler at the beginning of 2007. Before starting KINAMU Christian, Alexander and Marcus had been long standing managers at SAP and may draw on great experience with business solutions on the European and global software market. Michael, the fourth co-founder of KINAMU, had been managing partner of ITMCS GmbH, an IT consulting company with focus on the implementation and technical realization of innovative SAP based solutions.

The main aim of KINAMU Business Solutions AG is to provide IT business solutions for medium sized enterprises based on commercial „best-in-class" applications and open source products.

High investment costs, long project durations and the technically demanding operation of complex business solutions have kept many medium sized enterprises from using integrated business systems so far. Yet, newly developed, exclusively online and on-demand based solutions also prove to be limited in view of their functionalities, their possible integration into existing infrastructures as well as of their compatibility with company specific applications. The KINAMU team aims at combining the advantages of an „on-premise" based solution (installation at the company location) with those of "on-demand" solutions. KINAMU wants to thoroughly promote the adoption of „best-in-class" business solutions in SMEs. By so doing, KINAMU will finally be able to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs in the global market.

Each member of the founder team has worked at least 10 to 20 years in the international IT business. Their experience in this business as well as the interaction with the customers prompted them to enter the market with a new model of business solutions.

The KINAMU headquarters are at the outskirts of Vienna. Representative offices are planned for Germany and Switzerland.
