Functionality
The KINAMU Reporter is a flexible tool for analyzing data in SugarCRM that allows users to intuitively create queries. It is based on state-of-the-art frameworks and also supports full chart functionality.

Besides creating reports and dynamic analyses, reports can also be used to visually enhance the home area via the reporter dashlets. Data can be exported to MS Excel (as CSV) or as PDF (with or without charts). The results can also be used to create target lists for marketing purposes, which can then be used for campaigns.
Lists (grouping, summarizing)

Filtering across multiple modules / reporting across multiple primary modules
With the KINAMU Reporter, you can select data from more than one primary module! Create a single report for all activities (calls, meetings, tasks, notes, emails) instead of a report per activity.
The following report shows the number and types of activities per user and calendar week.

Runtime calculations and formatting (e.g. weighted pipeline)

The following report shows custom formatting: values over 5,000 are marked "green" and values below are marked "red."

Graphical representation (graphs, bars, donut charts)

Displaying reports as subpanels
KINAMU reports can also be included in the record view of each module. The subpanels behave as usual: they can be hidden and moved and save their settings when you log out.
You can also decide whether to display the full results of a report or filter the data according to the currently displayed record.

Displaying multiple charts per report
With the advanced chart settings in the KINAMU Reporter, you can display the results of a report in multiple graphical views on a single page.

One-click download of charts as images (JPG or PNG format)
You can also download and save any chart as a JPG or PNG image from a context menu by right-clicking.

Adding and selecting different color schemes for charts
You can customize colors to your individual CI or define and select multiple color schemes :

Custom queries
Many requirements we have for reports concern the ability to influence how queries are created. With the KINAMU Reporter, it is up to you how and which data you select.
The following subquery counts the number of contacts assigned as contact persons per opportunity.

The above subquery, or the number returned per opportunity, can also be used as a filter criterion in the "where" clause of the selection, e.g. to select only opportunities where the number of active contacts is at least 4:

Evaluation of geodata / reporting of geodata
Displaying address data on a map is the simplest use case for this function of the KINAMU Reporter. While you can choose different colors and pins for, e.g., customers, prospects, and competitors on a map, the actual efficiency only becomes visible when you combine data from individual modules: for example, you can create maps and display sales data depending on individual criteria to visualize regional sales figures, or you can display the individual stops of your next business trip by showing all your meeting locations next week.

Creating target lists
To export a report result to a target list, enter the name of the target list. When you confirm the dialog, the system will evaluate the report and create a new target list. You can then use this target list for further campaigns.

Saving and displaying snapshots
The KINAMU Reporter offers the possibility to create snapshots of reports automatically or manually. A snapshot is a capture of the report results at a specific point in time. The basic idea of the snapshot functionality is to enable capturing report results at multiple times to review the results again and allow comparison of the results. A simple but typical example might be capturing pipeline data of a company's sales opportunities to monitor pipeline development.

Export as PDF, CSV or Excel
For export, you can export either to PDF or CSV. Simply select the option from the export menu and the report will be exported.

Using a slave database for reporting
Complex reports can heavily load the database. If you run a MySQL setup with a "master" and multiple "slave" databases for performance reasons, you will definitely want to run your reports against one of the slave databases. From version 4.2 of the KINAMU Reporter, you can specify the database that provides the data for a report. This feature is only available in the Enterprise, Corporate, and Ultimate editions of SugarCRM – not in PRO editions.
