The KINAMU Address add-on extends Sugar's standard address management by allowing any number of addresses to be assigned to Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Prospects, Business Centers, and Quotes. It supports structured address management, automatic synchronization with Sugar's standard address fields, address versioning, and optional map-based features for working with location data.
New: Self-hosted OpenStreetMap support
The latest version of the KINAMU Address add-on can now be used with a self-hosted OpenStreetMap infrastructure. Instead of relying on external map providers, organizations can operate their own map, geocoding, and routing services entirely within their own environment.
This is particularly attractive for companies that process sensitive customer or location data or have strict compliance and data protection requirements. Address searches, geocoding, route calculation, and map display remain under the organization's control without transmitting data to third-party services.
A self-hosted setup also offers additional advantages:
- greater control over availability and performance
- no dependency on external API limits or pricing models
- predictable operating costs
- the ability to customize the map infrastructure for specific business requirements
The OpenStreetMap integration supports the same key functions as the cloud-based solution, including address search, geocoding, route calculation, and map visualization directly within Sugar.
For organizations that prefer a managed service, the existing Google Maps integration remains available.
